Student Internationalisation Programme with GIIS
While many internationalisation opportunities in schools involve sending Singaporeans overseas, this overlooks the fact that there are many people from most parts of the world already studying and working in Singapore. By collaborating with Foreign System Schools (FSSs) in Singapore, it increases opportunities for the two schools to broaden the learning experience of the students as well as strengthen staff interaction and cooperation. Thus in 2009, the school ventured into new collaboration opportunities with a FSS in Singapore, the Global Indian International School (GIIS). In 2009, the GIIS put up a Bhangra Dance at BGPS Speech and Prize Giving Ceremony while our Guzheng Cultural Group put up a performance at GIIS during the Children’s Day celebration.
